RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- The 41-year-old veteran Hoang Xuan Vinh won the first-ever Olympic gold medal for Vietnam after claiming the men's 10m air pistol title in the 2016 Rio Olympics on Saturday.
Vietnam has won two Olympic silvers prior to the 2016 Games, one from weightlifting and the other from taekwondo.
