RABAT, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Morocco and Libya vow Thursday to step up economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of transportation and infrastructure sectors, local media reported.
Moroccan Minister of Equipment, Transportation and Logistics Aziz Rabbah and Transportation Minister of the Libyan national unity government Milad Mohamed Maatoug met here to bolster bilateral ties.
The visit of Libyan official is meant to give a new impetus to relations uniting Morocco and Libya in various sectors, mainly in the air and sea transportation and infrastructure, said Rabbah in a press statement.
The Libyan minister said his country is keen to spur bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic, logistic and air and sea transportation sectors.
Maatoug hailed the historic position and role played by Morocco to reach Libyan political agreement, stressing the shared viewpoints by the two countries in terms of strategic economic choices.
He also called on Moroccan companies to take interest in the promising Libyan market.
