TOKYO, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 101 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo on Thursday, principally in line with levels seen overnight in New York.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 101.33-43 yen compared with 101.20-30 yen in New York and 101.04-06 yen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1149-1150 dollars and 112.97-99 yen against 1.1144-1154 dollars and 112.84-94 yen in New York and 1.1212-1213 dollars and 113.29-33 yen, in late trade in Tokyo on Wednesday afternoon.
