RIO DE JANEIRO, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Brazil's aircraft manufacturer Embraer on Thursday authorized Chilean company Aeroservicio, which specializes in selling planes and helicopters, to sell its executive jets in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Bolivia.
Embraer announced the deal in a press release, but it did not reveal the agreement's economic prospects.
"We are very happy about the alliance with Aeroservicio because together we will have a solid presence in the region," said Marco Tulio Pellegrini, president of Embraer Executive Jets, in the press release.
Aeroservicio's General Manager Willem-Jan Derks referred to the agreement as a "perfect partnership," saying that Embraer's executive line innovations have "changed the rules of the game within a decade."
Embraer, which produces commercial, military, executive and agricultural aircraft, is a leading manufacturer of regional jets and one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world.
