PRAGUE, July 27 (Xinhua) -- The Czech Republic will strengthen surveillance of the border with Germany because rejected asylum seekers in Germany might try to enter neighboring countries, said Czech Interior Minister Milan Chovanec on Wednesday.

According to Chovanec, some German politicians say thousands of failed asylum seekers will be expelled from the country.

"It is a serious concern that these people might try to cross the border illegally into neighboring countries. For this reason, we will continue to strengthen surveillance of the Czech-German border," Chovanec was quoted as saying during a cabinet meeting.

Chovanec said that the country has already identified some particular sections of the border where the guarding to be reinforced, and some of these border sections are close to the German asylum centers.

He said the Czech Republic has resettled four Syrian refugees within the migrant quotas. The Interior Ministry does not expect further refugees to be admitted to the country this year, as the Greek authorities could not find the 10 migrants who should be taken over by the Czech Republic. Enditem
