SEOUL, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Seoul shares opened higher on Monday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 8.57 points, or 0.43 percent, to trade at 2,018.91 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
South Korea's currency was quoted at 1,136.0 won against the greenback, down 1.60 won from the previous session's close.
