120 police cadets graduate in W. Afghanistan

HERAT, Afghanistan, July 14 (Xinhua) -- A total of 120 Afghan police cadets graduated from a two-and-half-month training course in the western Herat province on Thursday.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Herat provincial police chief Abdul Majid Rozi said the newly graduated police personnel would soon be deployed in turbulent areas to help stabilize security situation.

According to the official, some of the newly graduated police would also join the cleanup operations against militants in parts of the relatively peaceful province.
