HANOI, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam Airlines, the national flag carrier of Vietnam, has signed contract with Canadian Aviation Electronics (CAE) for providing training services for Airbus A320, A350 and Boeing 787 pilots.
Under the agreement, CAE will add three new full-flight simulators to Vietnam Airlines training center and support the firm in training teachers and technicians. Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines will supply infrastructure and human resources for the operation of simulators, Vietnam Airlines said on Tuesday.
Since summer of 2017, domestic and foreign pilots will begin training in Vietnam. The Vietnam Airlines training center will become the fourth of the CAE in the Southeast Asia, following Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.
Earlier, Vietnam Airlines bought one simulator of A320-200 to train pilots of A321 planes and one A320 flight training device (FTD). Since June 2012, pilots of A321 planes have been trained in Vietnam, said Vietnam Airlines.
