MOSCOW, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Russia's net capital outflow has fallen by a factor of five in the first half of 2016 year on year to 10.5 billion U.S. dollars, the central bank said Tuesday.

The bank also mentioned Russia's current account surplus amounted to 15.9 billion dollars, compared to 46.5 billion dollars in the same period of 2015.

According to the data, Russia's balance of payments was shaped by a reduction in the total merchandise exports' value, due to the low prices for raw materials with a gradual rehabilitation of imports and shrinking deficits in the balances of trade in services and investment income.
