HOUSTON, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed after a small plane crashed in the city of Houston in the U.S. state of Texas on Friday.
Engine failure was blamed for the crash, which occurred shortly after the plane took off from the West Houston Airport.
The plane caught fire and was completely destroyed, according to local TV station ABC13.
The wreckage was found amid trees and very close to some homes.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
