ISLAMABAD, July 5 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people including two policemen were injured when a bomb went off in Pakistan's northwest Mardan district on Tuesday, local Urdu media reported.

ARY News said that unknown militants detonated the explosive materials fixed outside a shop with a remote controlled device in Toro Chowk area of Mardan, the district in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The militants fled the scene after carrying out the attack and police launched a search operation in the area to arrest them.

The injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
