NAY PYI TAW, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar parliament's second session including the two Houses' will reconvene on July 25 , nearly a month after its first session adjourned on June 10, according to an announcement of the parliament published Monday.

The first session, which began on Feb. 1 and lasted for over four months, focused on the government's "100-day plan" to initiate development in the country.

During the session, the parliament focused on bills amending the Ward and Village-tract Administration Law and the Peaceful Assembly Law, revoking the Law to Safeguard the State against the Dangers of Those Desiring to Cause Subversive Acts which was enacted by the previous military government over four decades ago's 1975 to allow declaration of state of emergency for any territory in the country and restriction of any citizen's fundamental rights.

Other bills include those amending the election laws for the 4th time of the two Houses as well as region or state parliaments.

There remains four bills to be discussed which deal with bill withdrawing the emergency acts, bill amending the anti-corruption law, bill related to crude oil and oil products and bill amending the election law for leading bodies of self-administered regions or zones.
