FRANKFURT, June 29 (Xinhua) -- The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Wednesday continued to recover and closed at 9,612.27 points.
Panic about the result of Britain's referendum seems to ease and the blue-chip DAX index continued to rebound for two days in a row. It added 164.99 points, or 1.75 percent.
The two utilities companies led the list of risers. EON and RWE each climbed by 4.95 percent and 4.57 percent. Deutsche Telekom rose by 4.27 percent. Muenchener Rueckversicherungs-Gesellschaft, an insurance and reinsurance company, advanced by 2.76 percent. BASF went up by 2.61 percent.
On the other hand, Commerzbank fell by 1.26 percent. Continental slipped by 0.53 percent. Bayer lost 0.03 percent.
Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 296.97 million euros (about 329.6 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
