BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Zhijun, the Chinese mainland's Taiwan affairs chief, on Friday met with a delegation from Taiwan, headed by Lin Ming-chen, head of Nantou County.

The key to ensuring the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations is the 1992 Consensus and the "one China" concept, said Zhang, head of both the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

"We will continue to promote people-to-people exchanges and cooperation on all fronts and work to benefit the people across the Strait," added Zhang.

The meeting followed an expo between Taiwan and Hebei in Shijiazhuang City. The delegation will also visit Shanghai and Zhejiang in the following days.
