15 killed in SW China boat capsizing

CHENGDU, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Death toll from a leisure boat capsize in southwest China's Sichuan Province rose to 15 when one more body was found, rescuers said on Sunday.

As of 7 p.m. on Sunday, rescuers had retrieved 14 bodies of victims. So far, the accident has left 15 people dead. Three people survived.

The accident happened at about 2:40 p.m. on June 4, when a boat with 18 on board capsized in Bailong Lake in Guangyuan city.

Four people were rescued immediately after the accident, among them was a child later died in the hospital.

Authorities blamed strong gales for the accident.

The three survivors were discharged from hospital on Sunday evening.
