SKOPJE, June 11 (Xinhua) -- Macedonian police officials discovered 16 illegal migrants hiding inside a vehicle, local Macedonian media reported on Saturday.
According to the police declaration, the migrants were hiding inside a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old man. Among them, 11 migrants are from Afghanistan, including five minors, four from Pakistan and one from Iran.
The migrants were discovered late on Friday after the driver refused to stop while being pulled over by police and kept on driving towards the town of Demir Kapija.
The driver and the migrants were taken to a police station for further proceedings. Meanwhile the driver was issued with 30-day detention. Enditem
