JAKARTA, June 8 (Xinhua) -- A 6.3-magnitude quake jolted 126 km west-northwest of Kota Ternate, Indonesia at 0315 Beijing time on Wednesday (1915 GMT Tuesday), the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 38.31 km, was initially determined to be at 1.295 degrees north latitude and 126.3547 degrees east longitude.
The Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there is no tsunami threat from the quake. An earlier USGS report put the magnitude at 6.5.
