BEIJING, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Publicity chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Friday called for writers and journalists to unite around the Party and lead people to follow the Party.
Party's leadership should be strengthened and work style improved, said Liu Qibao, head of Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, at a seminar on implementing the spirit of the central authority's meeting on work of the masses and people's groups.
China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Writers Association and All-China Journalists Association are key groups for the CPC to connect with the literature and art circle as well as journalists, said Liu, adding that the three organizations should transform their work styles, facing the grassroots and caring for ordinary artists, writers and journalists.
The three organizations should strengthen their communication with new artists and writers' groups as well as new media practitioners, improve their services, and serve as bridges and ties between the CPC and writers, artists, and journalists.
Self-discipline and management should be strengthened, added Liu.
