HONG KONG, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's share prices closed lower Friday with the weighted index down 16.77 points, or 0.2 percent, to close at 8,554.31, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 86.37 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 2.66 billion U.S. dollars).
