HONG KONG, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale jolted 66km ESE of Lata, Solomon Islands at 20:46:41 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 151.9 km, was initially determined to be at 10.9806 degrees south latitude and 166.3753 degrees east longitude.
