HONG KONG, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Taiwan's share prices closed higher Monday with the weighted index up 71.55 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 8,745.36, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 84.41 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 2.6 billion U.S. dollars).
