SANTIAGO, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Brazil beat England 1-0 on Tuesday, grabbing its first three points at FIFA U-17 World Cup currently held in Chile, local press reported on Wednesday.
Brazil had a good start, dominating the first half in which England squandered a brilliant chance in the 41st minute.
England had three clear opportunities after the interval, all by Kazaiah Sterling, but Brazil was tough enough to stop him.
Brazil's goal came in the 67th minute by Leandro.
Now, the South American team seeks to survive Group B and will play against Guinea on Oct. 23. England will take on South Korea in the third round.
