British queen holds welcoming ceremony for Chinese president on "super" state visit

LONDON, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- A traditional ceremonial welcome held by British Queen Elizabeth II for visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping kicked off at noon Tuesday on Horse Guards Parade in central London with the presence of senior royal family members and political leaders.

BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping's positioning and expectation of China-Britain relations in a recent interview by Reuters has been encouraging, experts in Britain and Europe said.

BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- China and Britain are expected to make progress on trade and economic cooperation during President Xi Jinping's upcoming visit, including deals on energy, finance, real estate, medical treatment and automobiles.
