BEIJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with a delegation from the Singapore-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) on Monday morning.
China and Singapore currently have two joint projects -- Suzhou Industrial Park in east China's Jiangsu province and Tianjin Ecocity in the northern China port city of Tianjin. Trade between the two countries has increased, Yang said, and negotiations for a third intergovernmental project in West China will be speeded up.
Calling for Singapore's participation in the Belt and Road, Yang also appreciated the role that the SCCCI plays in the economic and social development of Singapore and its contribution to trade.
