Chinese vice premier meets vice president of Bolivia

BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli met with Vice President of Bolivia Alvaro Garcia Linera on Friday.

Zhang said Bolivia is an important country in Latin America and spoke highly of the development of China-Bolivia relations since the establishment of ties 30 years ago.

Zhang said China is ready to make joint efforts with Bolivia to promote bilateral trade and investment, strengthen cooperation on infrastructure, energy and resources, and expand production capacity cooperation to benefit the two peoples.

Garcia said China is an important strategic partner of Bolivia. Bolivia is ready to work with China to implement the consensus reached by the two countries' state leaders and deepen bilateral cooperation in all areas.

Garcia is in China for an official visit from Oct. 15 to 17 at the invitation of Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao. Li also held talks with Garcia on Friday afternoon.

BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli met with Vice President of Bolivia Alvaro Garcia Linera on Friday.
