CONAKRY, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Guinea's incumbent President Alpha Conde has won the country's Oct. 11 presidential elections in three out of the four Guinean regions, provisional results released on Thursday by the National Independent Electoral Commission (CENI) have shown.
The president has won in the three regions of Forestiere, Haute Guinea and Basse Guinea, but was defeated in Moyenne Guinea region by the rival opposition political parties.
According to the final electoral register announced earlier by the CENI, over 6.4 million voters were to cast their votes on the Oct. 11 elections.
