NEW DELHI, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Indian President Pranab Mukherjee returned home late Thursday night after wrapping up a successful six-day, three-nation tour of Jordan, Palestine and Israel.
President Mukherjee left for Jordan last Saturday, where he met King Abdullah and held discussions on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
After his two-day state visit of Jordan, the Indian president travelled to Palestine on Oct. 12, where he met and held talks with President Mahmud Abbas and Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.
During the last leg of his tour, he went to Israel on a three-day tour from Oct. 13, becoming the first Indian head of state to visit the Jewish state.
President Mukherjee held talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had also hosted a lunch for the visiting leader and remarked that the future of the bilateral ties is "limitless."
The Indian president flew back to this country from Israel, after his three-day tour of the West Asia country.
