WINDHOEK, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's football team, the Brave Warriors booked their place in the next round of the World Cup Qualifers after beating the Scorpions of Gambia 2-1 on Tuesday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in the capital, Windhoek.
Last week Namibia managed to hold Gambia to a 1-1 draw ensuring an advantage in their favour, as they had picked up a crucial away goal.
Earlier before the match the Brave Warriors coach, Ricardo Mannetti had called on his players to improve their game and finish the job they had started in Gambia and the team delivered with goals from Awillo Stephanus and Hendrick Somaeb.
