JAKARTA, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- A religious clash occurred in Indonesia's Muslim-dominated province of Aceh on Tuesday where hundreds of people burned down a church and a worship place in Aceh Singkil regency, claiming one life, injured a dozen of others and forced hundreds to flee.
The arson on the church was related to the rally conducted by a Muslim group last week, protesting the establishment of churches which, they said, were not licensed.
At least 100 police and troops were deployed to restore order and assure the security in the areas.
