BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese players Zhou Qi and Wang Zhelin ranked 14th and 99th respectively on the 2016 NBA mock draft list, according to the U.S. basketball site draftexpress on Tuesday.
The two Chinese have played key frontcourt roles in the Chinese team. Zhou, as the new starting center, has produced outstanding performances and earned the best center title in the 2015 Asian championship.
"He will have a great career," said China head coach Gong Luming. "Everybody knows his talent, potential and the ability to handle pressure."
The 19-year-old Zhou, who averaged 9.9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks in the Asian championship, is also rated first among the international basketball players born after 1996.
