MUNICH, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- German car producer BMW Group reported on Monday that 215,413 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles were sold in September, hitting a new sales record.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,644,810 group vehicles were delivered to customers in the first three quarters, an increase of 7.5 percent, representing the best ever first nine months sales in the group's history, according to the Bavarian company.
"Despite ongoing headwinds in certain markets, BMW Group sales continue to grow steadily," said Ian Robertson, member of the board of management for sales and marketing, adding that the group was on track for another record sales result in 2015.
According to BMW, sales in all major global regions have achieved growth in September. In Europe, there was a double-digit growth of 10.3 percent in the first nine months, while a total of 342,683 BMW and MINI vehicles were delivered to customers in the Chinese mainland, up 2.0 percent compared to the same period last year.
