Indian stocks open higher

MUMBAI, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Indian stocks opened higher on Friday following a positive lead from Wall Street.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 26,974.92, 129.11 points or 0.48 percent up from previous close of 26,845.81.
