MELBOURNE, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Australia's Victoria state police are bracing for a new wave of synthetic drugs which could take over ice as the most menacing drug in society.
"We all know it is coming. It is a turbocharged version of ice, " Victoria's Chief Commissioner, Graham Ashton, told Fairfax Media on Thursday.
Ashton said international syndicates would try to establish a market in Australia.
Ice, or Methamphetamine, has been widely acknowledged as the nation's most destructive drug in recent years.
However, Ashton believes it may have a new challenger.
