CHANGSHA, China, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines downed Kuwait 110-64 in the last match of the first phase of group stage at the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship of men's basketball here on Friday.

A free-throw marked Kuwait' s last chance to score in the first quarter when they were down 11-18. The Philippines then stormed 16 points in a row to finish the first quarter 34-11. Kuwait had 12 fouls while their opponents only fouled four times.

The storm continued in the second quarter with ten more points before Alshammari Abdulrahman finally had a layup to lift Kuwait to 13-44. His teammate Abu Dhom Mashari hit three out of four straight three pointers of Kuwait in the middle of this quarter.

The third and fourth quarters witnessed no surprise except Kuwait' s Alhamidi Abdulaziz was evicted for shouting at the referee about an uncalled foul. The Philippines finished the match with 110-64.
