WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- The two ads on China's development aired on U.S. TV channels, which coincide with Chinese President Xi Jinping's first state visit to the country, were made from a fair, objective and people-oriented perspective, said an official here on Tuesday.

The two ads broadcast on CNBC and CNN networks respectively, elaborate on the tangible benefits to the American people brought about by China, said Wu Huiqiu, chairman of the National Association for China's Peaceful Unification.

The two ads, not lengthy and right to the point, serve as positive introductions to China's development to Americans, who may have little access to the real situation in China, he said.

It is important to introduce China's development through influential U.S. TV channels, which can help increase understanding about China among the American public, he added.

The ads will help improve China's image and increase mutual trust between the two peoples, he said.

"If we have more positive, unbiased ads about China, close to the real situations there, then the American people can know China better," Wu said.

For the American people, they also want to know the tangible benefits brought about by China, Wu said.

Therefore, it will be helpful to introduce China through the ads to the American public from a positive, objective and people-oriented perspective, which will help lift the bilateral relations and push forward the healthy development of the bilateral relations, Wu suggested.
