BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted the sea off the coast of Yilan county, Taiwan at 03:37 a.m. Wednesday, the China earthquake networks said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 7 km, was initially determined to be at 24.3 degrees north latitude and 121.9 degrees east longitude.
