LONDON, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- A backpacker has gained "intimate insight" into the life of a monk after losing his iPod, having received more than 350 photos from his new foreign friend.
While travelling in Laos, Scott Herder lost his device and began to receive photos over iCloud from the so-called "monk who lived in my phone."
As a shutterbug, Herder took many photos during his trip but was surprised to see pictures of monks that he could not remember taking.
"I got a few photos of a group of monks and one of them was doing a really silly pose and I thought -- okay, I would for sure remember taking that photo," Herder said in an interview with British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
With over 350 photos of the monk in his iCloud account, Herder said he is trying to figure out how to contact the "sociable guy" so that they can be introduced.
