BUDAPEST, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Two commuter trains collided head-on 50 km northeast of the Hungarian capital on Sunday, leaving 10 people injured, authorities said.
The two trains were moving in opposite directions at about 20 km per hour when they hit each other, Imre Kavalecz, spokesman for the Hungarian State Railways, was quoted by MTI news agency as saying.
Among the 30 to 40 people aboard the ill-fated trains, 10, including an engineer, were injured, he said, adding that no one was killed and neither train was derailed.
