HEFEI, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Three people are missing after rainstorm in east China's Anhui Province from Thursday to Friday brought floods to some areas, the provincial flood control headquarters said Friday.
The three people went missing early Friday morning in Huaining County,when floods and mudslides hit two villages. Their whereabouts are still unknown as of Friday afternoon despite relentless rescue work.
Five counties and districts in Anhui have seen more than 250 mm of precipitation over the last 26 hours.
The level of two tributaries of the Yangtze River have passed their warning levels.
Floods hit mountainous areas, damaging roads and flooding more than 185 hectares of crops. Over 1,400 people have been relocated.
