TOKYO, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares ended higher on Thursday on a weaker yen.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 90.28 points, or 0.44 percent, from Wednesday at 20,683.95.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 9.51 points, or 0.57 percent, to 1,664. 88.
Gainers were led by pulp and paper, air transport and retail issues.
The turnover was about 2,206.9 billion yen (about 17.80 billion U.S. dollars).
