KATHMANDU, July 22 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Xiangchen, vice negotiation representative for international trade of China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC), visited the earthquake-battered world heritage sites here on Wednesday.
Zhang, who is on a three-day Nepal tour, visited the sites and was informed of the history of the spectacular temples, architecture and designs.
At Kathmandu Durbar Square, he visited Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex, which had been the royal Nepal residence until 19th century.
The Chinese official, during his visit, was briefed on the destruction and current situation after the April 25 earthquake, which claimed thousands of lives.
He also paid a visit to a local China-constructed hospital on Wednesday.
