#Chinese parents
Chinese people are always striving to offer their kids a better life. The anxiety of Chinese parents has been a long-term hot topic for foreign media, the past 24 hours were no exception.
By following the price of apartments close to the best schools in Beijing, the Economist concluded that in China, going to school is a race for daddies given the difficulty for parents to get their kids into the elite schools.

Naming their kids is another problem facing Chinese parents, according to the SCMP News. The SCMP reported that a growing number of Chinese parents are turning to feng shui masters to name their newborns, with many couples willing to pay thousands of yuan for names that will bring their babies luck.

#Economy
As the National Bureau of Statistics is due to release the latest half-year economic data on Wednesday, the outlook of the world's second-largest economy seems mixed among foreign media.
CNNMoney saw a bleak Chinese economy, estimating the GDP growth rate at 6.95% for 2015 and 6.5% for 2016.

Bloomberg TV even said the next global recession would be "made in China", citing Ruchir Sharma from Morgan Stanley.

Compared with such pessimism on Chines economy amid the volatile stock market, the Economist may think otherwise. The magazine asked: since China's stock market hasn't put economic stability in peril, why are you panic?
