WASHINGTON, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Police were responding to a report of an active shooter at the Washington Navy Yard in southeast of the U.S. capital Thursday morning, U.S. media reported.
The U.S. Navy tweeted that the navy yard is under lockdown, but no details of the incident has been disclosed.

BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The United States is haunted by spreading guns and frequent occurrence of violent crimes, according to the Human Rights Record of the United States in 2014 released by China on Friday.
According to the "Crime in the United States" released by the FBI, there were an estimated 1,163,146 violent crimes reported to law enforcement in 2013, of which 14,196 are murders, 79,770 are rapes, 345,031 robberies and 724,149 aggravated assaults, says the report, released by the Information Office of China's State Council Information Office.Full Story
