HONG KONG, June 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted 36km NW of Ndoi Island, Fiji at 06:16:59 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 645.61 km, was initially determined to be at 20.4016 degrees south latitude and 178.9257 degrees west longitude.
