MUMBAI, May 19 (Xinhua) -- Indian stocks opened lower Tuesday with the BSE benchmark index Sensex opening at 27,662.53 points, 24.77 points or 0.09 percent down from the previous close of 27, 687.30 points.
The Sensex has remained volatile over economic uncertainties one year after the government of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power.
