HANGZHOU, China, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Former Chinese women basketball center Zheng Haixia dressed in China's traditional chi-pao took the stage in Hangzhou fashion week on Sunday.

The 2.06-meter top Chinese basketball player looked afreshed as she put on a black chi-pao decorated with colorful flowers instead of her usual dress style of sports wear. Her size dwarfed the professional models and designers standing next to her and made her glamorous and eye-catching all through the show.

Zheng also demonstrated a catwalk, which won her a lot of applauses. Retired from basketball in 1999 and married five years ago, the 48-year-old finds she can also be part of fashion.

Zheng is the first Asian to play in WNBA as she joined the Los Angeles Sparks in 1996. She won the award of "the Best Center" in the 1986 women basketball world championship.
