7.1-magnitude quake hits Papua New Guinea

SYDNEY, May 1 (Xinhua) -- A 7.1-magnitude quake jolted 110 km SSW of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 61 km, was initially determined to be at 5.2 degrees south latitude and 151.7 degrees east longitude.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre hasn't issued tsunami warning yet.

There's no reports of casualties or property loss so far.
