Myanmar to extend aid supplies to quake-hit Nepal

YANGON, May 1 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar government is arranging a special aircraft of the Myanmar Air Force to transport foodstuff and other relief goods to quake-hit Nepal on Friday, official sources said.

According to the Yangon Region Relief and Resettlement Department, the aircraft will bring hundreds of boxes of instant noodle, assorted cereal products, instant coffee packages, wafer, candy, purified drinking water, clothes, blankets and T-shirts weighing over six tons to the quake-struck area.

The aid supplies will be distributed through the Nepalese government.
