CHANGCHUN, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Heavy snow on Monday brought an
airport in northeast China's Jilin Province to a standstill and a
number of highways in Liaoning Province were impassable.
Changchun Longjia International Airport closed at about 3 p.m.,
it is expected to reopen at 7:35 p.m., according to Jilin Airports
Group.
More than 50 flights were delayed, affecting thousands of
passengers.
Heavy snow hit the region on Monday at noon, it is expected to
last until Tuesday, according to the provincial meteorological
station.
In Liaoning, more than 90 flights were delayed and over 2,000
passengers were stranded at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport.
