BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang Tuesday met separately with Henry Keswick, chairman of Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd, and Bill Gates, board chairman of Terra Power LLC.

During his meeting with Keswick, Wang appreciated Jardine Matheson Group's long-term commitment to Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

He expressed the hope that the group can continue to enhance its cooperation with China on trade and investment so as to contribute to the China-Britain relationship.

Founded as a trading company in southern Chinese city of Guangzhou in 1832, Jardine Matheson is a business group focused principally on Asia.

During his meeting with Gates, Wang said the development of green and low-carbon industry conforms to the interests of people of China and the United States.

The Chinese government is willing to support the cooperation between enterprises on energy technology, he said.

Terra Power is a nuclear reactor design spin-off of Intellectual Ventures, headquartered in Washington. Enditem
